There is quite a history behind this simple sandwich which almost every child had daily for lunch after World War II up until the 1990’s. Its funny to think how the origin of many popular foods either began as “peasant” food or high class cuisine.

In our household, we eat tons of all types of nuts and we are always seeking different ways to enjoy our favorite foods.

Bake 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool and enjoy.

My mother practically lived off of PB and J growing up

…and was so tired of it she never completely introduced it to my sister and I when we were little. I remember asking her for it and she couldn’t believe I would actually want it. She admitted, its delicious, but she was just so sick of eating PB and J in the 40’s and 50’s, she never thought to serve it in our home.

We gifted these to my son’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teacher today. Her entire face smiled when she hear PB and J!
