Hot Chocolate - vegan , dairy free, no sugar added , gluten free

At times we all need something that reminds us of being a child again but we don’t need to go all out!


3 cups milk Flaxmilk or non dairy milk

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: 1 Tablespoon coconut sugar


Place milk, cocoa powder and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium/medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until warm (but not boiling). Add chocolate chips and whisk constantly until the chocolate chips melt and distribute evenly into the milk. Lightly stir in vanilla extract, serve immediately in your favorite mug.
