Take yourself out for a Date Shake-dairy free, vegan, gluten free


The first time I visited Palm Springs, California I fell in love with dates shakes. They are filling, yet refreshing. My toddler loves to eat anything but he gets bored of the same thing at each given meal. I wanted to introduce him date shakes. The only problem is the ingredients generally used has far too much sugar.

Having a toddler who energy level and sleep is affected by sugar, I had to create the shake so he would be able to consume it without issues.




He loves them so much he asks for them every morning. He practically makes the entire shake himself now!

Makes approximately 8 ounces

1/2 cup Good Karma flaxmilk or non dairy milk
5 pitted dates 
1 banana, peeled 
1 Tablespoon nut butter (see my recipe in our book here)

Place all ingredients in food processor. Process until liquified yet thick. Pour into a cup and enjoy.

My son says “HMMMMM…” continuously as he gulps it down.

Enjoy as a snack or accompanied with breakfast.
